Dibsline Permits

Dibsline Permits reports newly issued building permits from the public records of 10 US cities, collected every day. You ask for them in plain English in your AI assistant, filtered by trade, job value, ZIP code and contractor, and every permit links to the city's own record.

The cities: New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Fort Worth, Austin, Miami, San Diego, San Jose, Boston and Minneapolis. Each has its own page with live counts. The other connector is Dibsline Carriers.

How to add it

  1. Add the connector to your AI assistant by its address. Each assistant has its own steps: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Mistral or any other MCP client.
  2. The first time you use it, your assistant opens Dibsline's sign-in page. Type your email address; Dibsline emails you a 6-digit code; type the code and allow access. No password. One account works for both connectors.
  3. Ask in plain English, for example "Any new pool permits in Austin this week?"

Plans, in one line. Free plan: 10 results a week, no card. Paid plans from $49 USD a month, each with a 14-day free trial. Prices and what each plan gets

Connector address

https://mcp.dibsline.com/permits/mcp

Streamable HTTP. Sign-in by OAuth 2.0 with the emailed code; your assistant registers itself, so there is no client ID to type.

Every tool

Your assistant picks the tool from what you ask. The tools marked "changes something" write to your account; the rest only read.

7 worked examples

Each was run on 31 Oct 2026 on real data; "this week" is 25 to 31 Oct 2026. The counts are what came back that day. Permit numbers, addresses, names and contractors are left out here; in Dibsline you get the full record and its link.

  1. You ask

Any new pool permits in Austin this week?

    What comes back

59 pool permits issued in Austin from 25 to 31 Oct 2026, newest first, each with its trade tag, permit type, description, job value, ZIP code, contractor and the City's own permit page. The answer also says Austin's permits are nearly all in to 28 Oct, and 29 Oct onwards are still arriving.

  2. You ask

How many roofing permits did Chicago issue in October, by day?

    What comes back

160 roof permits from 1 to 31 Oct 2026, with a count for each of the 24 days that had one (6 on 29 Oct, 11 on 27 Oct, 16 on 9 Oct), and the City of Chicago's required disclaimer. Counts are free on every plan.

  3. You ask

Which of your cities issued the most permits this week?

    What comes back

8,029 permits from 25 to 31 Oct 2026: New York 1,471, Austin 1,105, Fort Worth 950, Minneapolis 844, Miami 837, Philadelphia 794, San Diego 668, Boston 556, Chicago 466 and San Jose 338, with one line saying which days are still arriving for each source.

  4. You ask

Solar permits in San Diego in the last two weeks

    What comes back

210 solar permits from 18 to 31 Oct 2026, each with a ZIP code, and the note that where the address has none the ZIP code is the Census Bureau's ZIP Code Tabulation Area, which approximates it.

  5. You ask

Remodel jobs in Minneapolis this week, one line per job

    What comes back

98 jobs for 25 to 31 Oct 2026, one per address, each with its permit count, total job value, contractors and the permits in it. A city often issues one permit per trade for one job, on different days; a job counts it once.

  6. You ask

Look up the first of those pool permits by its number

    What comes back

The permit in full: its issue date, trade tag, description, ZIP code, contractor, the source link, the source's notice and when Dibsline first stored it.

  7. You ask

    Boston permits from January 2024

    What comes back

0 permits. Dibsline holds Boston's permits issued from 19 Sep 2026, and says so. It does not hold years of history (see what it does not do, below).

The 11 sources, their notices, and how fresh the data is

Every city publishes its own permits. Dibsline collects from each once a day, cleans the values, adds the trade tags and keeps every record with its source link and the time the source published it. Cities publish a permit a day or more after it is issued, and some publish a day's permits over several days, so every answer whose dates reach the newest days says which days are still arriving. The status page shows each source's newest collection and record.

Each source's notice is shown with every result from it, as the source requires. Miami is two sources: the permits the City of Miami issues and those Miami-Dade County issues.

What Dibsline does not do

  • It never calls, texts or emails anyone in a record, and has no feature to. You contact people yourself, and the Do Not Call, TCPA and CAN-SPAM rules apply to you.
  • It holds no permits from before it started collecting: the first five cities from 10 Sep 2026, the other six sources from 19 Sep 2026. It keeps what it collects while Dibsline runs.
  • It shows only what the city publishes. A city that lists no contractor, job value or ZIP code gives none; where Dibsline finds a ZIP code from the permit's location, the source says so.
  • It reads nothing from behind a login, and covers the 10 cities above, not every city. When a city publishes less than usual, or stops, Dibsline says so in the answer rather than guessing.
  • It does not sell your details or the records. Every customer on a plan sees the same records.
  • It is not affiliated with any city.
