Add Dibsline to Gemini

Dibsline is a custom app (a remote MCP server) for the Gemini app. You add it by its address, sign in with an emailed code, and ask in plain English.

Checked on 31 Oct 2026 against Google's own help page, Connect & manage custom apps for Gemini Apps. The rules and steps below are that page's words; if the page has changed since, the page is right and this guide is behind. Dibsline is not affiliated with Google.

Who can add it

  • "Be 18 or over and in the US."
  • "Sign in to the Gemini app with a personal Google Account." Work or school accounts are not supported.
  • Keep Activity must be on: "Custom apps are unavailable when this setting is off."
  • "Only available in English".
  • Plans: the page does not say.
  • Connecting is done in the web app; once connected, custom apps "are available on both the Gemini mobile app and Gemini web app".

Each is its own app. Add the one you need, or both; one sign-in works for both.

The steps

  1. On a computer, go to gemini.google.com.
  2. At the bottom, click Settings, then "Connected Apps" (on some accounts, "Personal Intelligence" first).
  3. Under "Custom apps", click "Add a custom app".
  4. Enter the app's MCP server URL: one of the two addresses above. The page says the server "must follow the standard MCP specifications"; Dibsline does.
  5. The page says: "If the server doesn't support Dynamic Client Registration, next to 'Advanced features,' click 'Show more,' then enter your credentials." Dibsline supports Dynamic Client Registration, so there is nothing to enter there.
  6. Click "Next" and follow the on-screen instructions.

To use it, enter "@" and select the app. The sign-in: Gemini opens Dibsline's page, where you type your email address, then the 6-digit code Dibsline emails you, and allow access. There is no password.
